HIV/AIDS Guidelines
As a general policy, the Board is committed to providing general operating support in the belief that the leadership within a given organization is best equipped to decide how funds should be used; in other words, it is not necessary to identify a special project to be considered for funding.

The Board is interested in learning more about the range of organizations addressing HIV/AIDS in our community and particularly welcomes proposals addressing any of the following:
  1. Preventative education for young people,
  2. Innovative solutions to housing, nutrition and other life challenges,
  3. Approaches to outreach and treatment in non-traditional and new immigrant communities,
  4. Education and advocacy,
  5. Awareness of AIDS internationally. The Board feels it is important to maintain awareness in our local community of the international AIDS crisis and is looking for organizations that promote or incorporate such awareness in their work.

  6. HIV/AIDS requests are reviewed during the spring grant round only.
